I know you like blues. So... Learn the blues, you need no chord knowledge and might even be better off without it. It's simple, rhythmic note playing.

Go to google, find a basic outline of the blues and start howling about the things that make you feel. And because it's in one key, singing along is also easier.

Once you've found your musical soul, you are ready for lessons and books and all that other "cram it in" crap. (Just my opinion, you may learn completely the opposite way that I do, but it's still fun to play the blues)
